Bring the Olympic Dream to Darfur

GENOCIDE IN DARFUR AWARENESS EVENTS

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2007
 
China is host to the 2008 Summer Olympic Games
– one of the world’s most powerful symbols of peace.
 

Yet, China – as Sudan’s chief diplomatic sponsor, major weapons provider,  
 and largest foreign investor and trade partner –
has not used its unique position to help the world  
 to bring an end to the violence and humanitarian crisis in Darfur.

 
On Sunday, December 9, there will be two important opportunities
to continue our advocacy and to remind China of its responsibilities
to stop the genocide in Darfur.
