Our Rabbi

Rabbi Rebecca Lillian has served Beth Or -- a dynamic, innovative spiritual community-- since 2004. She was ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 1995, after which she has served in several capacities in the Jewish community as well as for interfaith social justice organizations.

In Miami, Rabbi Rebecca has become very involved in both Jewish and interfaith community work. She is involved with the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami and other organizations affiliated with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Her Torah commentaries can often be read on the Federation website.  Rabbi Rebecca is also Vice President of South Florida Interfaith Worker Justice. Her passion for social justice stems from Rebbe Nachman's hopeful teaching that, If you believe in the human capacity for destruction, you must believe in our capacity for repair!
